Great quality. Very visible in long grass which is a bonus.
Washes and drys really well after a muddy session. Hasn't lost its shape at all and I've washed it twice now. I can imagine it taking a while to dry out in colder weather as its so thick but as its so hot at the moment it dried in a matter of hours. I have tried to wash tugs in the past and they have completely fallen apart. I have been hand washing this tug in the bath.
The strength and quality of this tug are top notch. I use it with my larger dogs, and it stands up to everything they throw at it. My only gripe is that it’s a bit thick for my smaller dog to get a good grip. It's definitely better suited for medium to large breeds. If you’ve got a strong dog, you’ll love it, but if your dog has a smaller mouth, it might be a stretch. Still, great build and feels like it’ll last forever.
I’ve gone through a lot of tugs with my lad Blue, and this is by far the thickest and strongest one I’ve ever had. The cotton is super durable and doesn’t fray, even after weeks of intense sessions. The handles are stitched in tight and feel secure, even with a dog that hits hard. The bright orange colour is a nice bonus for when we’re training outside which means no more losing tugs in the grass! Herm Sprenger really smashed it with this one.
